Create A Guitar Practice Space All Your Own

The room that Paul McCartney was describing was most likely no ordinary room. If anything, it is a room that inspires him and makes him feel relaxed.

• Of course, not everyone has the money to create a fully equipped music studio, but any room, with the right touch, can become a music room that inspires the great musical ideas that you know are inside of you.

Even if it's just the corner of a room, you'd be surprised what a few well placed musical trinkets and posters can do to help create you own custom music space.

Add a music stand, a comfortable chair and your guitar, and you now have a place where you can go to become the musician you truly want to be.

To Clean Or Not To Clean

Some people get better practice in a neat and super clean environment - if that's you, then take a little time out to declutter your music space.

If clutter is your thing, then I'm guessing that any old corner of the house will do -- but still add a couple of carefully chosen guitar posters to let everyone else in the house know what corner of the house is your guitar space.

Get A Cool Wall Calendar

At the end of each practice you should schedule your next two practice sessions - and by having a cool wall calendar with a guitar theme full of guitar masters and inspirational quotes, you'll have one more thing to motivate yourself to pick up your guitar every day.

And while you're at it, don't forget to add your next two practice sessions in your computer calendar and the calendar on your mobile phone.

In fact, you can set the alarm in your smart phone to remind you of your next scheduled practice time.
